Behun, Dent Set for Junior Olympic Regional Action in Toledo

Jackson Behun and Jacorian Dent of Southside Boxing Club will be heading to Toledo this holiday weekend to participate in the Junior Olympic Regionals being held at the Believe Center.

Behun and Dent who are both trained by Vinny O'Neill advanced to the regional portion of the Junior Olympics by advancing through the Lake Erie Association event held earlier this month in Cleveland.

Behun, 15, a student at Boardman High School will be fighting in the 138-pound weight class which will have five competitors competing for a spot at nationals.

Dent, who recently turned 14 and attends Akiva Academy, will be competing in the 90-pound weight class which will feature three fighters.

The action will get underway on Saturday, May 26 at 1:00 PM and will continue into Sunday, May 27 with a 1:00 PM start time before wrapping up with finals on Monday, May 28 with a time to be determined.

Winners from the Toledo Regional will advance to the Junior Olympic National Tournament in Charleston, West Virginia in late June.
