Regional Roundup

- Jermaine Franklin, 24, of Saginaw, MI has fought on two occasions in Youngstown as a professional.  The 15-0 heavyweight is currently training in Pittsburgh for his upcoming bout on March 3rd in Columbus, OH.

- One of Pittsburgh's top upcoming talents, lightweight Matt Conway has inked a two-year extension with Made Men Promotions.

Conway is currently 12-0 as a professional as the 22-year-old has positioned himself to be the main event at a Made Men promoted card at the Rivers Casino this upcoming summer.

- Butler, PA welterweight, Bobby Osterrieder (1-1) has his opponent for his upcoming bout on March 10th at the Seagate Convention Center in Toledo, OH.

Osterrieder, 28, will be taking on Robert Mumford (1-0)  of Toledo.

- Amateur boxing will invade Warrensville Heights located in Cuyahoga County this upcoming Friday night as Friday Night Fights 14 will take place at the Word Church.  The first bell for the event is slated for 7:00 PM.

- Alliance native Ryizeemion Ford took home the championship this past weekend at National Hometown Heroes Amateur Boxing Championships in Charleston, WV.

Ford, 24, trains under the direction of trainer Lorenzo Scott in his hometown of Alliance at the Common Ground Athletic Club, Ford won the won the 2017 Cleveland Golden Gloves title in the 132-pound open division,
