Lights Out Management will be bringing amateur fights to the Ukrainian Hall located on Youngstown's West Side this upcoming Saturday.
Ticket sales for this event along with the 50/50, and auction sales will go directly to Gary Housteau and his bout with stage 4 colon cancer.
Housteau, a Boardman native, is a long time area photographer, writer, and current Bucknuts media team member.
The main event of the evening will feature local talent Brian Simms from Youngstown's Downtown Boxing Club as he takes on Brian McElwrath of Akron in a 160-pound match.
Joining Simms from Downtown Boxing Club will be Isaac Chatman who will bring a 21-4 record into the ring.
Two other Youngstown area boxing gyms will be represented as Southside Boxing Club and Burnside Boxing Club will both have multiple boxers in action.
Representing Southside Boxing Club will be 130-pound crowd favorite Ryan Williams, who will bring a 1-1 record into the evening, and 125-pounder Chadman Dykes.
Stepping between the ropes for Burnside's will be 130-pounder Kevin Philomena and 140-pounder Drew Smith, who previously trained at Salem Boxing Club prior to his move to Youngstown to attend Youngstown State University.
A team of fighters from Kitchener, Ontario, Canada who are coached by former middleweight world title challenger Syd Vanderpool will be on the card as well along with boxers from Akron, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Ellwood City (Pennsylvania).
Make sure you come out for a great evening of boxing for an even greater cause as Lights Out Managment looks to add to the impressive $70,000 they have raised over the last 6 years for local non-profit organizations through their boxing promotions.
Tickets are $15 for General admission, $25 ringside and a few tables of 8 are left for $300. First bell is slated for 7:00 PM with the doors opening at 6:00 PM.
