Notes
- Alejandro "PoPo" Salinas showed he is on a whole other level than his overly confident opponent, Jairo Vargas.  Salians toyed and dominated Vargas until the referee finally put a halt to the fight in the 7th round of their scheduled eight-round contest.  Salinas, who hurt Vargas a numerous amount of times during the contest improves to 8-1 with 8 KOs.  The next time Salinas headlines a show in Youngstown, make sure you take advantage of going.  A) The kid is the worth the price of admission and B) he is currently on the radar of major boxing promotion companies and his days of fighting "club shows" in his hometown could be coming to an end.

- Ryan Williams, a wrestling coach at Liberty High School was victorious for the first time in his young boxing career during the amateur portion of the card with a split decision victory over Lah Ne Tue of Cleveland.  Williams, who turned to boxing as a way to get in shape had the strongest contingent in the crowd of all the amateur fighters and has become a crowd favorite.

- Jacorian Dent improved his amateur record to 1-1 as the youngster who attends school at Akiva Academy on Youngstown's North Side showed quick hands and countered well in defeating Jack Ketchum of Board Boxing.  Dent is trained by Vinnie O'Neill

Jermaine Franklin of Saginaw, Michigan only needed 57 seconds to dispense of  Dan Calhoun of Chicago.  Franklin who won the 2014 Golden Gloves National Championship is now 11-0 as a professional as the 23-year-old is starting to make a name for himself in the heavyweight division.   Calhoun's record fell to 6-3 in defeat.

- Jose Rodriguez from Akron improved to 4-0.  Rodriguez, who stopped former Youngstown native Lavelle Hadley landed the punch of the night in the second round when he dropped Hadley with a crippling right hook.  Hadley would rise to his feet but be stopped later in the round.  Hadley saw his record fall to 2-4.

The fight of the night on the professional portion of the card goes to Quwanda Williams of Pittsburgh and Mike Weissman of North Jackson.  Weissman who was making his pro boxing debut after a 7-2 MMA career.  It took Weissman a little bit of time to get his feet wet but he responded and gave Williams all he can handle.  Williams won the fight on the cards as the scores read: 39-37 for Williams, 39-37 for Williams, 38-38 Draw.  I scored the fight 38-38 on my card.  Williams improves his record to 1-1.
